We understand that some of our clients are new to this and that’s okay. One of the greatest benefits of any protective style is that they allow for low hair manipulation, which in turn may help with length retention. Protective styles like sew-ins, braids and twists can still put stress on your natural hair, but with glueless wigs the stress is minimal.
We’ve written a few steps to help you install your purchase correctly.
STEP 1
Gently unbox your purchase. Remember to leave any tags and the lace intact until you are sure that you have received the correct order.
STEP 2
Place the wig on your head by bending towards the floor at a 90 degree angle, and placing the elastic band on your head first. Then, with the lace touching your forehead, flip the wig slowly onto your head and adjust until secure.
STEP 3
Now that your wig is on perfectly, you can adjust the fit of the elastic band using the adjustable strap.
STEP 4
Check the colour of the lace against your skin. We dispatch our lace systems in their natural colours, so we advise adding a powder of your tone softly to the hairline to blend. You can remove the wig to place the powder underneath, or keep it on and place the powder on top.
STEP 5
Breathe. It’s that time and believe us, it’s super easy. Cut the lace with a small razor or scissors to remove the excess and cut according to your hairline. We use large closures on our units, to avoid the damage caused by frontals, so this should be easy if you’re a pro. Remember, you can always take off more lace and it’s better to not cut enough than to cut too much.
And she’s done! We customise and pre-style all of our wigs for our clients, but feel free to redo any styles according to your tastes.
